GAME GUIDES
Which games to choose when you do not want a timer
Try the untimed modes in Clear the Lot and Cosmic Merge, or choose the word games. In Active Mind, select the calm pace. Check the selected mode: a single game can also include timed variants.
| Game and modes | What makes it different | Pace and limits | Players |
|---|---|---|---|
| Clear the Lot | Plan fixed-direction exits with a traffic light that switches after each exit from level 4. | No countdown in the untimed mode; a timer in rush mode. | 1 player |
| Cosmic Merge | Place planets that roll and merge when they touch a matching planet inside a container. | No countdown; the daily challenge allows 40 drops. | 1 player |
| Word Shuffle | Solve clues using letters, syllables, grid searches or a missing letter. | No countdown; solve each word at your own pace. | 1 player |
| Four in a Row | Connect four pieces while considering where the next one will land and what the opponent is threatening. | Turn-based against the computer, without a countdown. | 1 player |
| Warehouse Express | Solve routes by pushing boxes, collecting orders, sliding or opening doors with keys. | No countdown; routes proceed one move at a time. | 1 player |
| Carry-On | Observe objects, then recall what is missing, their order, position or associated destination. | Calm pace has no timer or attempt limit; the timed pace adds pressure. | 1 player |
| Number Play | Solve sums, coin change, calculation comparisons and targets with limited operations. | Calm pace has no timer; the timed pace adds time pressure. | 1 player |
We compare game rules and controls. Stated times are mode limits, not average durations. Recommendations are editorial. How we prepare these facts.
Think through each move
In Clear the Lot, check which way each vehicle faces and plan the exits. From level 4, each departing car switches the traffic light between horizontal and vertical. In Warehouse Express, plan box routes before moving them. Four in a Row lets you study your next piece against the computer. Their main puzzle mechanics do not require quick reactions.
One action, several consequences
Cosmic Merge gives you time to decide where a planet will fall. Untimed does not mean endless: overflowing the container ends the game. In Word Shuffle, hints help but reduce your score. Decide whether to chase a record or solve at your own pace.
Set the pace in Active Mind
Carry-On, Spot the Change, Bright Path and Number Play offer a pace choice. The calm setting removes the clock and attempt limit; the timed setting adds pressure. These are games for entertainment, not an assessment of your abilities.
Untimed play can still have limits
In Clear the Lot, hints and manual traffic-light changes reduce points even in untimed mode. In Cosmic Merge, the container can overflow without a countdown. In Number Play, the operation-chain mode retains its step limit even at calm pace. Distinguish time pressure from puzzle constraints when choosing.
